ABOUT ME

I have studied physics at the University of Crete (1998-1992) from where I obtained my Diploma and my MSc in Computational Physics (1994). I obtained a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Athens (1999). The PhD thesis title is "Distribution of stars and dust in spiral galaxies". After finishing with my military service (1999-2001) I went to CEA/Saclay in France as a post-dosctoral researcher. In 2003 I got the position of Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics of the National Observatory of Athens (IAA/NOA). In 2007 I got promoted to the level of Associate Researcher at IAA/NOA. Since 2011 I am a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing of the National Observatory of Athens.​​
